April 11, 2024 – PKL Receives Notice of Award as a VETS Indexes Recognized Employer for 2024
PKL Services, Inc. (PKL) is honored to have been recognized for another year by the VETS Indexes Employer Award program for our dedication to veteran hiring practices. This award recognizes our “commitment to recruiting, hiring, retaining, developing, and supporting veterans and the military-connected community.”
More than 300 companies applied for this year’s program and only those who met the stringent requirements showing their commitment to veterans were recognized.
Each applicant for the award had to submit detailed survey responses related to veteran hiring and recruiting, veteran employee development and retention, veteran-inclusive policies, support for the National Guard and Reserves, and military spouse and family support efforts.
PKL’s CEO, Michael Naylor, said “PKL was founded by a veteran and has been committed to hiring veterans since we started this company more than 20 years ago. We continue to be steadfast in our commitment to hiring veterans and helping them transition into the civilian workforce. We recognize the unique and valuable skill set these veterans bring to PKL and the customers we serve. We are grateful for the recognition from VETS Indexes as a testament to our dedication to supporting the military in multiple ways.”
VETS Indexes is a leading voice on veteran employment issues, overseeing the VETS Indexes Employer Awards, hosting the twice-yearly Employing U.S. Vets Conference, unearthing unique and unprecedented data on veteran employment through the Veteran Employment Benchmarking Service, and developing custom indexes, linked to financial products, that track the performance of the publicly traded companies that have established themselves as the best employers for veterans.

March, 22 2024 – PKL Receives Notice of Award for 3RD MAW F-35 O-Level Maintenance Support and Corrosion Abatement at MAG-11 and MAG-13
PKL Services, Inc. (PKL) received notice of award from prime contractor, 4M HR Logistics that the team was the successful awardee of the 3RD MAW F-35 O-Level Maintenance Support and Corrosion Abatement contract at MCAS Miramar CA and MCAS Yuma, AZ.
The work for this Task Order, under the Contract Field Team (CFT) Program Office, will be to perform O-level Maintenance support and Corrosion Abatement on F-35 aircraft located at MCAS Miramar (MAG-11) and MCAS Yuma (MAG-13).
PKL will deliver services via a team of 23 full time employees at the Miramar location and 23 full time employees at the Yuma location.
PKL’s CEO, Mike Naylor, shared “We are proud to take on the work for this new contract and to support the F-35 team. This is critical maintenance for these aircraft and PKL is honored to bring our expertise and experience to this new contract requirement.”
This three-year opportunity (10 month base, plus two one-year options) will begin on 1 June 2024. The contract is anticipated to end by 31 March 2027.

PKL is honored to have been recognized, for the third year in a row, for the “Best of Poway” awards as an Aerospace Company. PKL is headquartered in Poway, CA and we take pride in being a part of this vibrant city and community.
Only one company is selected in each category each year and we are grateful to be the recipient again this year, in a community that has many successful and innovative companies.

PKL was proud to sponsor the commissioning of the USS John L. Canley (ESB-6), the fourth Expeditionary Sea Base ship commissioned and the first named after a Medal of Honor recipient.
SgtMaj Canley was awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions during a 7-day period (31 January to 6 February 1968) of intense combat in Hue City, Republic of Vietnam while assigned to Alpha Company 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division.
The ship was constructed in San Diego, California by the National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (NASCO). The Commissioning Ceremony was attended by the 78th Secretary of the Navy, The Honorable Carlos Del Toro along with former 19th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and 36th Commandant of the Marine Corps, Gen Joe Dunford, USMC (Ret).
We had a couple of PKL personnel, including our CEO, attend the commissioning ceremony and we are honored to have received a number of commemorative items to celebrate this event.
